On any given weekend in Daylesford and Hepburn Springs there will be a choice of events and festivals – large and small – catering for many tastes.

Festivals range from big to small in these parts. There’s ChillOut – Australia’s largest regional gay and lesbian festival, Swiss Italian Festa to recognise the heritage of the region, there are also weekly Sunday trash and treasure markets to get lost in.

The calendar is crammed with cultural activities that enliven the town and region.  These events include the Hepburn Swiss Italian Festival, the Highland Gathering, the Chill Out Festival, and the Daylesford and District Agricultural Show.

It is hardly surprising to have so much choice when you consider that Daylesford has possibly the widest spectrum of people away from a capital city – tree changers, intellectuals and environmentalists, arty types, gay and lesbian and long-time locals.   It's a very lively, tolerant place to be.

From the producer straight to you, the markets in the Hepburn Shire offer hours of browsing fun.

Silver Streak Champagne Train

The duo 'Travelling Concessions' will provide delightful music of the era while you relax on the train, returning to Daylesford by 7pm.
