We established our boutique vineyard in 1997 with our first public release in 2002. Our family owned vineyard is nestled on the edge of the Wombat State Forest with it's rich diversity of bird and animal life, all of which are partial to grapes. An elevation of 600 metres, abundant natural springs and rich volcanic soil all combine to create a unique niche for viticulture and wombats. Our wine displays classic, cool climate characteristics derived from an extended ripening period, maturation in French Oak and pruning undertaken in near Arctic conditions.Limited in supply, it can be cellared for a number of years. The both of us a from a farming background, with wine making and it's associated lifestyle our passion. Our families are early settlers of the local area since the mid 1850's and our setting reflects this pioneering heritage. In 2014 we revamped an old machinery shed into our new winery and cellar door complete with a cosy wood heater in the Winter and decking to enjoy a drink whilst taking in the view of the forest and surrounds.Catering for groups up to 20 for casual drinks and informal occasions. Nineteen years later we are continuing to provide genuine country hospitality. We are deliberately small ensuring a premium product.
