La Primavera Festival
La Primavera Festival

Ninety minutes from Melbourne, and just north of Daylesford in central Victoria, Lavandula has space and beautiful vistas. At its heart is the golden stone rustica, a cluster of farm buildings constructed by Italians from southern Switzerland who came to look for gold and stayed to farm. The farmhouse is open for viewing each afternoon and gives an immediate sense of Italian rural life in 1860s Victoria. La Trattoria serves lunch. The Barn sells home wares, body products and gifts.

Location: Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm

Come dance, sing and savour the tastes of all things Swiss Italian. Celebrate our Spring Festival with authentic Italian singing and dancing with Sicilia Bella.  Their musical instruments include the Sicilian tambourine, cane flute, mandolin and quartara. Discover the heritage of the original stone farmhouse with stories and slides. Enjoy regional food and wine, play boules or simply lose yourself in the beautiful surrounds of Lavandula.
Talk to the makers and experience the wines and olives from Rose Creek Estate, who produce the finest quality Italian-style wines, pickled olives and olive oil. Meet Dan the Bee Man who will be revealing the secrets of the hive by extracting fresh honey. Indulge in classic Italian fare from our cafe, La Trattoria, which will also serve pizza from its wood-fired oven. Travel back in time when you visit the original stone farmhouse, which includes stories and slides from Ticino.
